Blogging Tip: When To Post On Social Media

Hey there readers! I hope all is going well in your world. Today I am going to help you out a little and share a blogging tip I have learned.

Now if you keep up with my weekly link love posts, you will catch on that I am a huge fan of infographics. I don't know why but I am seriously so obssessed with them! I have to slip one every week into my weekly link posts! Anyways, I figured I would share an infographic that has helped me out a lot.

Social media is key to promoting and marketing your blog and/or business. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest. Fourquare, Instagram, you name it! Everybody is connected on these social media platforms! Just look at how much of an impact they make!

Enjoyed this infographic? Check out MyLife.com and explore our  zip code and area code directories.

I know I am not setting a great example right now but the timing of your posts and promotions make an impact on the amount of traffic you will recieve and how much exposure your page will gain. Luckily I saw this when I first started blogging and it has helped me tremendously!

Courtesy of: Social Caffeine

So I hope the information I have provided you will help out and with your social media presence. I love reading your comments! Tell me how you handle your social media presence and how much of an impact it has made on our society!

Disclaimer: I did not make any of the infographics on the page. I pulled these off of other websites!

Much love,

2013 Year in Review

Hello readers! The end of 2013 is upon us! What better way to reflect on this past year by doing a cool link up! Join in on the fun over at Three 31!

2013 Year in Review!

What did you do in 2013 that you’d never done before?
Well I went through labor so that was a definite first!
Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't necessarily do new years resolution but I vowed to be the best mother I could possibly be. I plan on keeping that resolution through the years to come!
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nobody close but I had a couple of old friends give birth. A lot of people gave birth this year actually!
Did anyone close to you die?
Not close to me but close to Justin yes. Justin lost his grandpa about 2 months ago and it was rough on us as a family and we are still grieving about it.
What countries did you visit?
None.
What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
More money!! And I would like to invest in a new laptop since mine is on its last leg!
What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory?
March 18th. Madison Grace was born.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Becoming a mother. I was a completly different person from that moment on.
What was your biggest failure?
Not doing so well in the spring semester of classes as I had hoped.
Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not anything serious.
What was the best thing you bought?
I would say my Keurig Brewer and here is my secret.... I bought it brand new at a Goodwill store for $25!! I live by thrift shopping!
Whose behavior merited celebration?
Justin! Yes he has made mistakes during the year but I watched him instantly become a father and a hard working determined man who would do everything possible to make sure his family is provided for!
Where did most of your money go?
Rent and bills. And that's where it ALL went!
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Not being pregnant anymore!!! Haha and watching Maddie crawl!
What song will always remind you of 2013?
Blurred Lines. Sorry it is the catchiest song!
Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder?
Happier.
Thinner or fatter?
Well in comparison to this time last year I am definitely thinner considering I was 6 months pregnant last year!!
Richer or poorer?
Poorer.
What do you wish you’d done more of?
I wish I would have relaxed a little more before Maddie was born. Now I am finding any time I can to just sit and take a 5 minute breather!
What do you wish you’d done less of?
Not be appreciative of everything that I had!
How will you be spending Christmas?
With both of our parents.
Did you fall in love in 2013?
I was already in love!
How many one-night stands?
None!
Who were your best friends?
My dear friend Hanna! She stuck with me my whole pregnancy and is still there when I need her!
What thing did you do that was meaningful to others?
Hmmm I don't know how to answer this one. May have to ask the people around me.
What were your favorite TV programs?
Glee, Once Upon A Time, Sons of Anarchy, New Girl, Pretty Little Liars. The list goes on!
Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Not hate but I do dislike some people.
What was the best book you read in 2013?
I haven't had any time to read but I want to start a book to read during winter break!
What was your greatest musical discovery?
I have grown to fall absolutely in love with Sara Bareilles
What did you want and get?
I wanted a family and that I recieved!
What did you want but did NOT get?
Honestly I would have loved to be engaged but now is not the time.
What was your favorite film of this year?
Despicable Me 2
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 22 and I spent my birthday at home with my family.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Giving birth to Maddie
What kept you sane?
MY MOTHER!
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Demi Lovato like always!
What political issue stirred you the most?
The Obama Care issue
Who did you miss?
I missed my family. It's hard being away from them.
Who was the best new person you met this year?
My friend Ashley. She is always a great person to talk to and we get along great!
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2013.
I have learned on putting others before myself. It mainly kicked it when I had Maddie and learned it wasn't all about me anymore. Another person depends on me to nurture and care for her. I have transformed into a confident, determined, and motivated mother.

Quote that sums up your year:

Hope everyone has a happy holiday!
Love always,

What happened to Maddie Bug and I??

HELLO LOYAL READERS! Yes I have been away for some time! I don't think I have done a blog post in over a week... Yikes! This post will cover me explaining my reasoning's on why my blog has been M.I.A. A lot of things have happened in our life.

First off... FINALS ARE HERE! I have been busy studying my little tail off. My first final is on Friday and I have tests all the way till Thursday of next week! But good news is after finals, I will have a little break so I will be able to blog as much as my little heart desires!

One sad part of being off the radar is.. Justin lost his job. They started laying off a lot of people and he was one of the ones that got cut. So we have been busy dealing with that. It has been pretty hard since it hit so close to the holidays but we are still hanging in there. On the plus side, he did happen to get a job, yesterday in fact. He still has to do a drug test and background check and we should be all good to go!

But back to good news right?? No need to tell you a sap story! I have been busy keeping up with Maddie Bug because she is.....

FINALLY CRAWLING!!!

Yes my little bug is on the move and it has been a crazy, hectic experience so far!! She is in everything and she goes just about anywhere. We can't take our eyes off of her for 5 seconds!!!

It has definitely been a crazy past couple of weeks! I hope after my finals, I will be able to blog a lot more and don't worry I am still doing my weekly links sometime this week!

Wish me luck on finals and I truly hope everyone had a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Much love,

8 Month Update

Another month has passed by here! Little Madison Grace is a whopping 8 months! With the holiday season, the never ending amount of studying and school time, and just being a housewife on top of everything is definitely making the time go by so fast.

Madison's personality is really becoming more defined! She is silly, funny, social, and very active. I can hardly get her to take naps and when she does, it's about 20 minutes. Just long enough for her to charge her batteries!

We are still working on crawling. I have a feeling she may not crawl but she still manages to get to where she needs to go whether it is scooting on her bottom or army crawling.

My guess is that she weighs around 17 pounds (give or take). Our next appointment will be her 9 month checkup. Still no teeth yet but you can tell that they are fixing to cut through at any moment!

New things that she is doing is smacking her lips, waving to people, and shaking her head no.

Maddie absolutely loves to play and be outdoors just about all day!

This month has been so much fun! Her motor skills are increasing, she is becoming very mobile, trying new foods, experienced her first Halloween, and just being an absolute joy! Can't wait to see how much she has developed when 9 months roll around!

The Obstacle In Our Path

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.

The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

Update: Things Are Getting Dangerous Around Here

Good morning readers! No I am not MIA. I have just been busy with school, taking care of Maddie Bug, and of course being the awesome housewife that I am! I figured I would give a short update on Madison.

So I was getting ready for class yesterday morning. I swear that I merely looked away for 5 seconds and she was like this. It's starting to become dangerous business around here. Madison is currently getting into everything. She has to grab everything and put everything in her mouth.

I have a feeling that she is going to skip crawling. We put her on her knees and she rocks but she still wont do the crawling part. She just flops back on her belly and basically army crawls everywhere.

Either way Madison is now a handful and a half! She is seriously a ball of energy that never stops until bedtime! I can't even imagine how thingss will be when she starts walking! I definitely have my work cut out for me!

Happy Tuesday!!

Madison's First Halloween!

Good afternoon readers! Yes I am doing two posts in one day! I was going to wait to share this on Monday but I decided to go ahead and post! I just wanted to share our Halloween pictures! Madison went as....

RAGGEDY ANN!

I was having trouble deciding what I wanted her to be. We received this dress this past weekend and I thought that I could possibly put together Maddie's Halloween costume with merely a couple of dollars! Seriously all I did was buy red yarn at Michaels and wah-lah! Everybody thought she was the cutest!

And we even went with a friend. Maddie was trying to grab her friend's ears the whole time! Typical Maddie... That girl can never sit still!

And then of course we met up with Daddy as soon as he got off work!

It was such a great first Halloween for our Maddie Bug! She had such a great time and was on her best behavior the whole night! :)
